I met Maria many years ago when I started working at The News-Journal and was the advertising representative for McCarthy Builders. We became friends, not just client and sales representative. She and the McCarthy family were always very kind and generous and I really enjoyed working with them. Over the years we lost contact but ran into each other from time to time, as we both live in Ormond Beach. The last time I saw Maria was at CVS in the Trails. We exchanged email addresses and it was good to connect with her again. Today, I wanted her friends and family to know that I'm sending my deepest sympathy and will continue to keep Maria and all of you in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed!

To All The Family..May God give you peace at this sad time by knowing that Maria is safe in His arms! I am so sorry I could not honor her memory and visit a moment with all of you by coming to the service...I was out of town. So many memories as we traveled many places together, were scared out of our wits driving through a terrible thunderstorm in the boat on the river, country danced many many nights, hours of sharing our joys/problems, our religion, etc. etc.

Dear Family, I have know Maria for many years dating back to when my daughter Tina Piasecki went to Wachevia Garden Camp with her daughter back in the 70's. Have dealt with Maria during a real estate transaction and not so long ago with our Bunko girls. Always a smile on her face and such a wonderful loving person. We are deeply saddened over the death of our wonderful cousin Maria who was named for my Mother. Maria was such a bubbly and fun person. We loved her growing up and through the years.
And we are consoled that she loved The Lord and shared His love. She always spoke of her children and grandchildren with such joy.And adored her sister and brother.Very close trio.

Maria had a heart of gold. She lived her faith as she served her church and community. She shared her time, talents and treasures for the betterment of our community children. It was my privilege to have served with her and to have called her “friend”.

I have been blessed to have Maria as such a wonderful friend for many years.  She was always there for anyone who needed her.  

We met every Sunday at Salty Church & would have brunch after unless of course Maria had other plans, she was always on the run!

It was my honor to be her friend.  I will miss her.  She is with the Lord now and no longer has any worries.

I am so sorry for your loss. We cousins have some great memories of growing up together in Flushing.

Maria was so dear and near to so many hearts.  She was kind, loving and generous.  Maria and I met at a Bible study years ago.  We have been studying God's word for many years.  Her greatest desire was to share her love of God with everyone.  She loved her 3 children so much,  She wanted them to love the Lord and trust Him In all things.  Maria is in the presence of God and since we can't hold her in our arms, He is holding her in His.

We are so very saddened with Maria's passing.  She has been a great friend for many years and we always celebrated her birthday with a luncheon and sadly to say, November 24th was the last time to see her.  Keep trusting in God as she did and He will see you through this trying time.
