

Marie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack Griffin, with whom she shared more than 50 years of a loving and faithful marriage. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Griffin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Willie (Kathy) Griffin, Jimmie (Nancy) Griffin, and Edna (Glenn) Lafflin; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Griffin; her beloved grandchildren, Jason (Corina) Brock, Travis (Dawn) Griffin, Rachel (Matt) Tinsley, Tori (Chris) Baker, Terrill Griffin, and Mitchell Griffin; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Airiella Brock, Kylie Miller, Evan Miller, Sydney Kelly, Liam Baker, and Ansley Baker, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Marie was a sincere, loving, and gentle woman whose life was defined by her kindness and devotion to others. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, always offering warmth, compassion, and a welcoming heart to those around her. She enjoyed traveling and had a great love for all sports, especially when her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren were “in the game." and took great pride in her years of service before retiring from Publix.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 10th from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home. A reception will follow the gathering at the home of her granddaughter, Rachel Tinsley.
A private interment will be held on Monday, May 11th at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
Her beautiful spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
