Oh my goodness. Mary Britt occupies such a wonderful place in my memories. Having spent a good portion of my early high school years required to carpool with my very dear friend, Tina, Mary was our driver (as was my mother) on alternate days.  She frequently shared life lessons and provided us with funny stories that made our mornings lighter and happier. That's how I will always remember her: making my life lighter and happier.  She was a dynamo and she raised a marvelous daughter that learned compassion and humor and generosity directly from her. Her family and friends will miss her terribly and this is all any of us can hope for, because this grief is just another way of saying how much she was loved.
