I have been doing Mary Lee's hair for over 15 years and I loved and miss her very much. She was at my shop every Friday morning most of the time before me. She was also a lover of music. When there was a show that had music she was the first in line to see it. She loved her family, everyone of them. I remember the great times I had with her and all the stories of the trips she went on. Mary Lee lived her life to the fullest. Now there is no more pain and she is sitting in the front row watching Patsy Cline sing all her favorite songs. I Thank God that she was part of my life.

I am so saddened by your lost of a wonderful mother that I only knew for a short time but was privileged to have shared some very special events with her.  Your mother was indeed a pleasure to know and her heart was a large as Texas and you felt that the minute you met her.  Thank you for sharing her with us and I am sure her memory will go on for ever.  May God give you all peace and comfort during this difficut time.

When Aunt Mary Lee's sister, Louise, passed away, who is my grandmother, Aunt Mary Lee gladly stepped in and said she would love to have me come and see her.  So instead of being sad at Christmas, spring break, and summer, I looked forward to seeing my Aunt Mary Lee.  The time we had together was magical:  beach, museums, restaurants, Epcot center, Christmas shows, scenic drives, lots of card games, and her home cooking.  I am a better person for the time we shared having fun, laughing and talking.  She will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will miss her deeply! I loved her so so much!!  Love, Amy

Mary Lee was always such a joy to be in the company of.  We remember the days at the old Anchor Inn and how she would always come over and greet us and share a kind word.  Always accommodating when I would visit Olson's back in the day.

My sympathy and prayers go to Mary Lee's family.  I met her many years ago when I was the Home Economist for Florida Power and Light and she worked at Olsons.  I am a member of Central Baptist Church and she sat with us several years ago when she attended our church.  My husband, Bob, would see her when she was getting her hair done by Cathy.  He, too, has gone to Cathy for his haircuts. 

I will not be able to attend the Memorial Service, but will be keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary Lee was, and will always be, one of the most special people to be a part of my life. From just a little girl until the day she passed, I have but the very fondest memories of Mary Lee. She was like a mother to me, and always welcomed me with that beautiful smile and "come on in, sit down, can I get you something to drink or eat!"  Nobody in their right mind ever turned down some of Mary Lee's good ole' southern style cooking!  

Mary Lee NEVER met a stranger.  Where there was room for one, there was room for 100!  Her door was always open to anyone that wanted to come in.  And, at the holidays, everyone flooded her home, not just for the special treats that she'd make everyone, knowing it was someone in particular's "favorite", but for the warmth and love that was ever present.  

Selfishly, I will miss her mac and cheese and vegetable soup! When we'd speak, she would always say, "Dede, I'll make you whatever you want!"  I will miss those days... 

But more importantly, I will miss the grace and warmth of such a beautiful woman, inside and out.  Not a time would go that she wouldn't inquire about every aspect of my life... she genuinely cared, and always had a bit of sage advice.  

Such fond memories of "685"... about 45 years worth.  Awesome memories that make my heart warm. That make me want to look up into the beautiful blue sky on this day and say, "thank you, Mary Lee, thank you.  Thank you for all that you mean to me."  

My deepest sympathies go out to Anne, my dearest friend in life.  And to Julie, Alan, Michael and Billy... to all of the in-laws and grandchildren, great grandchildren, that I have been truly blessed to know, and to love.

Thank you, Mary Lee, thank you.  You will never be forgotten, and may you rest in eternal peace with Our Lord Saviour.  Until we meet again, my friend...

All of us who were fortunate enough to have Mary Lee touch our lives know what a wonderful person she was. Her warm infectuous smile greeted everyone who came to her door and she always had room for one (or two) more at meal time. Ken and I send our deepest condolences to you all. So sorry to hear of Mary Lee's passing. she was a valued friend, mentor and employee. from all of OLson lighting personnel, we extend our sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

     So sorry for your loss.There is so much to say about the loss of one's mother..and so few words to comfort each & every one of you. Perhaps you can find comfort in all of your wonderful memories. Your mom always had a warm smile for me & I know what a fantastic daughter you were to her. No task to great or small for you & Denny. A second mother to me since the first day I met her, she and Anne are the two reasons that I'm here today. Always with a smile, always ready to set another place at her table, she was one in a million.  I know  that I will never forget the wonderful way she always treated me and our family.  She earned a special place in my heart for all time and I will miss her dearly.

Jim and I were so sorry to hear about Mary Lee.  We spent many happy times with her and her family and we appreciated her hospitality on several occasions.  She will be sorely missed.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
