Nancy M Fanning, age 86, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2018. Nancy was born September 20, 1931 in New Bedford, Massachusetts and has been a resident of this area since 1961when she moved with her husband who was working on the Apollo program for GE. Nancy is a descendent of the original settlers from Plymouth, MA and granddaughter of Samuel Morse who invented the Morse Code. She was an accomplished seamstress and took pride in sewing all her families clothing. Community involvement was important to her and she was an active member for many years in NAWIC and the Ormond Beach Pilot Club. She also owned and managed Palm Paint in Ormond Beach until her retirement.
Nancy is survived by; son's, John; Patrick; and Michael (Lucia) Fanning; sister, June Clay; grandchildren, Tiffany, Ryan, Jim, Gina and Alex; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Nancy was preceded in death by; daughter Bridget Ann Fanning and husband James Joseph Fanning Jr..
A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
