Nancy Philie

Nancy passed away on Monday July 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 91. She was born in Pennsylvania on March 5, 1931 to loving parents Frank and Eva Skirchak. Nancy had 4 sisters- Mary, Tina, Anna, Helen and 1 brother John.

As a child her family moved to New York. Nancy met her future husband, Edward R Philie there, they settled down and started a family in Bohemia, Long Island where they stayed until they retired to Florida in 1987.

Edward passed in 1993 and she found other outlets to enjoy her time. She loved the casino boat and trips to Biloxi with friends from her condo. Her best friend was the one arm bandit. She also enjoyed a LA Fiesta Margarita now and then. She could also be found where ever there was a jig saw puzzle being done she was also in charge of bingo night at her condo.

Nancy is survived by her 3 children: daughter, Patty (Ed) Belz, sons, Ed (Ellen) Philie Jr., Gary ( Lori) Philie; 4 grandchildren, Eddie, Bobby, Lori and Justin; 6 great grandchildren, Bobby Jr, Brandon, Caitlin, Curtis, Rylie and Jayse. 2 great great grandchildren Lily and Kaidyn. Nancy was very proud of her family

Visitation will be Aug 5, 2022 at 4pm until 8pm with rosary at 7 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N Nova Rd Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Gathering of family and friends one hr. prior to graveside service on Saturday August 6th. Graveside service Saturday August 6th 11 am at Volusia Memorial Park 548 N Nova Rd Ormond Beach, Fl 32174

A gathering of family and friends for Nancy will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
