Patricia Louise Lombardo passed away March 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Pat was born in Dayton, Ohio and has five brothers and four sisters. She was raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah and met her husband of 52 years, Frank, an officer in the United States Air Force. While her husband was deployed to Vietnam, Okinawa or Korea, she was mother and father to her three children. She lived in Utah, Nebraska, Hawaii, Ohio and South Carolina before moving to Ormond Beach in 1979.
She enjoyed working as a legal secretary, especially helping people deal with the particulars of their loved ones’ estate in their time of grief. She had an interest in photography and enjoyed reading, particularly historical novels and mysteries. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting many different places both in the US and abroad, especially the National Parks. She was generous, supporting many charitable organizations supporting wildlife and Catholic Native American schools.
A loving wife and mother, she doted on her children and spoiled her grandchildren. She was the glue that kept her family together, her no nonsense Midwest sensibilities providing a much needed anchor to the family. She supported her husband and children in their endeavors, always putting them before herself. Education was very important to her and she ensured that all her grandchildren had college education funds.
She is survived by her husband, Frank A. Lombardo of Ormond Beach, FL; her children, Frank C. Lombardo of Jacksonville, FL, Gina M. Reynolds and her husband, Micheal of Shawnee, KS and Salli A. Melvin and her husband Zane of Ormond Beach, FL; her five grandchildren, Abigail, Amanda, Leila, Rachel and Blake.
