Patricia Jewell Metcalfe, age 84, of Port Orange, FL passed away on Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Halifax Health Hospice. Patricia was born in Auburn,NY, daughter of Joseph and Laura Fern Smith. She graduated from Courtland University and taught elementary school for a few years prior to moving her family to Ormond Beach, FL in 1973. She also worked in the property appraiser’s office at Volusia County for several years. Patricia was married to Merton Arthur Jewell for 30 years, until his passing in 1985.They had 4 children together. She is survived by her children, Tammy Wilson, Port Orange, FL, Jeff Jewell, Melbourne FL, Michael Jewell, Wilmington, NC, Melissa Rechichar, Port Orange, FL; sister, Sharon Kaiser, Ormond Beach ; 7 grandchildren; and husband , Louis Metcalfe .
