Patricia A. Quiney

Patricia Ann Quiney, 72 of Detroit, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Born October 20, 1953, to the late Clarence William and Dorothy H. McCarty. Patricia grew up in McMinnville, Tennessee, surrounded by a large, loving family. Moving to the Daytona Beach area in 1965, Patricia attended Seabreeze Junior and Senior High, where she was a majorette in the Seabreeze Marching 100. After spending a few years back in Detroit, she returned to Daytona Beach in 1976 and began planting roots.

Patricia was an avid bowler, often competing on bowling leagues at Ormond Lanes. She coined the name Mrs. Pat while working various jobs in the service industry. Those who were lucky enough to spend any time with her knew that to know her was to know love.

Patricia is survived by her two sons Shane and Bobby, her daughter-in-law Kathy, her two Grandchildren Brittany and Devin, her granddaughter-in-law Sierra and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her brother James.

A Graveside Service will be held at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, Florida, on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
