Phil was such a great friend to my brother Tim, then my brother Mike, and then our whole family, when we all met in 80s. He and his family were so good to me. He is one of the best people I have known, or will ever know. Offering my continued thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Learned of Phil's passing last night. He was a very special person to our entire Family. Smart, witty and always finding the solution was Phil. May your spirit always be present Phil and live on with your Family. 

Phil was my best friend in college and we lost touch over the years as our lives took us to new places.  Just finding out about his passing saddens me greatly.  Rest In Peace my dear friend.

It was my utter misfortune not to have met Phil any earlier than I did. He always had a moment or two to converse and his quick wit, with that little je-ne-sais-quois of synicism, really connected with me. He was a great guy - not only in height! - and will be sorely missed. As a young professional, I learned so much from Phil. He was always very calm and under control even when things seem to be spiraling out of control. It was a pleasure to work with him. I am sorry for your loss.

Susan, I have such great memories of the time our families met at FFL in 2009.  Phil was such a genuine guy.  I didn't know him well, but I do always remember that about him.  He was friendly and warm and I thought "too bad we don't live closer."  You, Matt and Hannah are in our thoughts and prayers.

I got to work beside Phil during the past few months while we both worked in the UK.  As I got to know him, I realized how brilliant he was and that he was a "big picture" kind of person.  I don't know how we will pick up the pieces of his many contributions because he performed multiple jobs and I've never seen anyone as dedicated to the work mission as him.
