Rachel Bernice Tucker

Rachel B. Tucker age, 72 passed away on September 15, 2014 in Port Orange, FL, and will always remain in our hearts. Rachel was born November 19, 1941 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a homemaker and loved bowling, traveling, reading and taking care of children. She was a Halifax Medical Center Volunteer and a Charter Member of Harbor Baptist Church. Rachel and her husband Ralph were longtime residents of the Ormond Beach area.

Rachel was preceded in death earlier this year by her stepson Clarence James Tucker and sister-in-law Alice Emaline Walker.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband of 55 years James Ralph Tucker, also surviving is her daughter, Lisa M. Borden and husband Allen of Nashville, TN; two grandsons Warren Joseph Selig II and wife Priscilla of Hawaii, Andrew Michael Selig of Daytona Beach, FL and step-son Robert Tucker of Daytona Beach, FL; sister Ruby Carroll of Ormond Beach, FL; sister-in-law Wanda Beazley of Ormond Beach, FL. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews as well as her rescue dogs Gizmo & Precious. A visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
