Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career with BellSouth and AT&T. He was a dedicated provider and took pride in the work he did throughout his life.
He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sandra Miller, and a loving father to his son, Gary Miller and his wife Leigh Ann, and his daughter, Shelia Scherer and her husband Thomas.
He was a proud grandfather to Logan Miller and Kaleigh Futch and her husband Zachary, who are soon to welcome their first child, Kinsley. He was also a proud grandfather to Kirsten Scherer and Ryan Strickland and his partner Jaime Scolaro, along with their child, Jackson Scolaro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Curtis Miller Sr. and Gladys Miller.
Buddy will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his deep love for animals, and a heart of gold that would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a way of telling stories that brought people together and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through those stories and the unwavering love he gave to his family.
In his free time, Buddy loved working around the farm, gardening, and tinkering with machinery. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, spending time with his animals, and being alongside his loving wife. These simple moments brought him the greatest happiness.
As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the memories and the love he gave us throughout his life. He leaves behind a space that can never be filled, but also a love that can never be taken away. We will carry him with us—in our thoughts, in our stories, and in the way we continue to love each other.
