Richard M. Dow

Richard Michael Dow, 77, of Ormond Beach, passed away November 17, 2018. He was born June 7,1941 in Malone NY to Michael and Gladys Dow. Richard graduated from Empire State College where he received his Bachelor’s degree in business. He was married to Patricia Frazier on September 3, 1960. Richard began his career in TV sales and service, was the Town Supervisor for Moira, NY and worked for the NY State Department of Labor. He later joined Watson Realty as a manager and property manager until his retirement. He was a past president of Board of Realtors, and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. In his earlier years, he was also involved in Kiwanis and Knights of Columbus. Richard had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being around people. He was a family man who loved camping with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He had a passion for woodworking, RV camping, traveling and touring the U.S. Richard was predeceased by his parents and sister, Rose Mary Dow. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Patricia Dow; children, Aaron (Lynn) Dow, Bryan Dow, Craig Dow and Denise (Tony) McMullin; brother Philip (Evelyn) Dow; sisters, Katherine Frazier and Marie(Thomas) Lantry; grandchildren; Kaylee Bounds, Chelsea, Brad, Savannah, Brittany and Courtney Dow and Alexis McMullin and great grandson, Nolan Bounds. The family would like to thank HospiceCare of Orange City and Ormond Beach for his care in his final weeks. At Richard's request, there will be no public service.
