Robert Sterling Hardy, 84, of Ormond Beach passed peacefully Thursday, April 10, 2014. Robert was born in Medford, MA son of Viola and Raymond Hardy. He honorably served 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. After his retirement he worked 20 years as a construction supervisor for Campanelli Inc., on projects in MA, MD, and FL. Robert was also a member of the American Legion and Elks. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Marilyn, children; Jeffrey (Christine) Hardy, Leslie (Jacqueline) Hardy, Col Kirt (Karen) Hardy, Keith (Donna) Hardy, step-children; Christopher Dampman, Karen Paoli, Kim (Jeffrey) Margolin, James Dampman, Leslie (Paul) Carrico, sister; Jane Moody; sister-in-law, Dorothy Davis;15 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his sister Barbara Snow. A Memorial Service to honor his memory will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N.
