Memorial Service for Robert B. Horton, Sr. who passed away Wednesday November 10 at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange will be 2pm Sunday November 14 at the Hospice Care Center 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange. Mr. Horton was born in East Hampton, Long Island New York and moved to this area in 1979 from Long Island. He retired in 1975 as an animal Researcher for the Department of Agriculture in Long Island. Mr.Horton was enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956. He was a volunteer of the Greenport Fire Department Eagle Hose and enjoyed NASCAR and Orlando Magic basketball. Survivors include, his wife of 55 yrs, Dorothy; three sons, Robert Jr., Daytona Beach, David, Deland, and Brian, Palm Coast; one daughter, Debi (Jim) Moffitt, Port Orange; one sister, Maren Peterson, Oswego, NY; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
