In Loving Memory of Robert Michael McClaskey III
September 27, 1990 – September 25, 2025
With deep sorrow and endless love, I announce the passing of my beloved son, Robert, who journeyed to Heaven just two days shy of his 35th birthday, after a long and courageous battle with Leukodystrophy.
Born on September 27, 1990, Robbie brought joy, laughter, and light into every room he entered. His strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit inspired and touched the lives of all who knew him. Despite the challenges he faced, he lived life with a heart full of gratitude and a mind full of wonder, spunk, and love. He was forever “AWESOME!”
He was a passionate fan of professional wrestling, with a special admiration for John Cena—his ultimate hero. Sunday game days were sacred, especially when his beloved Green Bay Packers took the field. He was also a life long fan of NASCAR’s Dale Jarrett #88!!
Robbie cherished the simple things: sunny strolls through the neighborhood, breakfast on the front porch, and dinner in the back lanai surrounded by his Angelia’s Angels: Miss Annie, Davie, Rebecca, his Aunt and myself.
He had a deep love for music and pop culture, with Britney Spears and Hilary Duff forever holding first and second place in his heart and playlists. But above all, the greatest joy of his life was Olivia Delgado, his soulmate and best friend, who also lives with Leukodystrophy. Their bond transcended distance, illness, and time—pure love that brought both comfort and courage to each other’s journey.
Robbie taught us how to live with grace, love without limits, and face adversity with humor, heart and absolute resilience. He will be remembered not for the disease that challenged his body, but for the boundless love and joy that lived in his soul.
In his immediate family he is only survived by myself, his Mom, my children Michael and Bella, and my husband Mike. He lost his devoted Father to cancer in May of this year, and his little brother Nikki to Leukodystrophy on 2/23/2023. They are now reunited in Heaven for eternity. He also leaves behind so many who were lucky enough to call him family and friend. He was especially fond of his Halifax hospice friends: Miss Samaria, Karen, and Erin. Whose support, love and care will forever be appreciated.
A celebration of his life will be held where we will honor the beautiful life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. Date and location to be determined.
"Never give up." — John Cena
And he never did.
