With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert Tyre, 72, on June 24, 2025. Robert had a giving heart, love of all animals and always ready to help others. Robert was deeply cherished by all who knew him. He was born at Halifax Hospital and adopted by Alvin and Dorothy Tyre joining their big family of seven brothers and sisters. Robert attended Mainland High School and joined the Army just out of school. Robert was an Electrician and member of Local 756. Some of his jobs were Avatar at Disney, launch pad 39 at the Space Center and the Tikrit base in Iraq. Robert was a lifelong racing enthusiast even racing stocks cars at Volusia and New Smyrna Speedways.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership. Robert was also the proud father of JR (James Robert), his best friend, who preceded him in death. Robert was a loving uncle to Michael, Crystal, Scooter, Dawn, Julia and as well as a great uncle to many great-nieces and nephews, who adored him. Though he may be gone from our sight, Robert’s spirit lives on in the stories we share, the races we watch, and the love he gave to everyone who knew him.
