With sad hearts the family of Roger Harper mourn his passing on February 6, 2020. Roger was born October 17, 1927, to Harlan and Joan Harper in Ames, Iowa. Roger’s priority was his family, Shirley, his wife of 71 years; daughter Laurie (Don Peterson), granddaughters Jennifer (Brian Rosonke), great granddaughter Emma, Rachel (Dave Lofton), Mollie Wedge, (Ryan Oas) great granddaughter Grace; daughter Cindi, granddaughter Amy, grandsons Aaron and Luke; son Scot (deceased); daughter Robin Cameron, (Dennis Chaney), (Bob Cameron, deceased), grandsons Cassidy and Colton.

Roger is survived by his brothers Joe, Lowell (Marcia), sisters Dorothy Likely, Mary Lackore and Karel (Jerry) Hedrick. Preceded in death by son Scot, brothers Harlan (Myrtle), Dix (Shirley), Phyllis, Chuck Likely.

Roger was a herdsman (Lawson, MO), purebred Duroc hog breeder (Pleasantville, IA), farmer (Fergus Falls, MN), hog buyer (Lakota, LA and Albert Lea, MN), hog broker (Glenwood, MN). Roger joined his wife in the antique business in Minnesota and Nashville, TN, retiring to Florida in 1998.

He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and will be sorely missed.

Lots of wonderful times remembered during the many visits Norm and I had with you and Shirley, The rides we would take across FL and the good meals and the many funny moments will live on into the future! Lots of wonderful times remembered.
