Our sweet mother went to be with the Lord, April 16, 2014. She was the mother of the original peanut kids on Orange Avenue during the 1960s. Mom instilled a strong work ethic in all her children. She encouraged us to go to church to learn about God and Jesus. Mother had a sense of humor and passed it on to her children, grandchildren, and great-grand kids. Even though mom had 11 children, we were never hungry because she could make a meal out of nothing. Our mother was there for us while we were young so we gladly cared for her in our home when she was old and needed us most. We give special thanks to our sister Brenda, who gave the best years of her life caring and providing for our mother. Ruth is predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Beulah Hadden, three brothers, three sisters, Charles White, her sons Stevie and Danny White, and her granddaughter. Mom is survived by her children, Kenny (Sharon), Angie (Howard), Sandy (Ted), Mike (Karie), Julie (Jimmy), Poncho (Donna), Beverly (Rick),Brenda, Terri (Mike). She is also survived by her siblings, Memphis ( Donna), Voneal (Emma), Wallace ( Mary), Evon, and sister-in-law Louisa. She will also be missed by her 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandson, Wesley who she helped raise. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Ruth White’s name to Coalition for the Homeless, 316 N. St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 or Florida Hospital Hospice, 770 W. Granada Blvd. Suite 304, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Condolences may be shared with the family at [email protected].
