Teresa D. Featherstone

April 8, 1960July 3, 2013

Teresa Lynn Deffenbaugh Featherstone entered The Lord's courts with praise on July 3, 2013 at the age of 53. There was a Celebration Memorial Service on Friday, July 5, 2013, at Palm Coast Bible Church in Palm Coast, FL. Teresa fulfilled scripture of the Proverbial Woman and personified the love of God to everyone. She was predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Donald Scott Featherstone. She is the precious daughter of Jerry Deffenbaugh and Agnes Hasentufel. She is survived by her four devoted children Jeremy Reddish, Sean Featherstone, Elizabeth Featherstone, and Alicia Featherstone; and two grandchildren Dylan and Kylie Reddish. She was predeceased by her brother Jerry Buddy (Ellen) Deffenbaugh, and is survived by her three sisters Susie (Mike) Sullivan, Donna Kay, and Sandra (Mike) Porter; and her sister-in-law Carol Featherstone. She has many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who all adored their Aunt Teresa. Teresa is finally pain free after 12 years of battling breast cancer, which is a miracle itself because she was given 2-5 years when originally diagnosed. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was a true warrior of God. She will be greatly missed, but we take peace in knowing she is resting in the arms of Jesus. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Teen Challenge or to an account that has been set up at VyStar to help take care of Teresa’s daughter, Elizabeth.Condolences may be shared with the family online at Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL

I had the pleasure of meeting Teresa and what a joyous person she was...we emailed each other from time to time and it was only yesterday that I emailed her and it came back not delivered...when I called all the numbers they were not in heart started feeling a sort of sadness come over me...I found out only today of her passing on July 3rd. To the family...may God's arms enfold you all and may you find comfort in his promise that we can all be together in the earth made new...Rest in peace Teresa...I will miss you...Romancia Williams and family.

In His presence there is fullness of joy for now Teresa...
You can finally watch your eagles from above....
Thank you for the lesson you left me with:
1) Be grateful for everything
2) love always
3) Live every day...
You have been a blessing and a gift to my life.
I love you, and I miss you already

Mom, there will never be another like you. You taught me some cooking tricks and gave me much needed advice in the short time I was with you and how very appreciated it was. Through you I gained more family and great friends. We (Allani and myself) will miss you dearly!
