Theresa was born in Nottingham, England, on April 27,1958, to Sheamus and Irene Cronin. Theresa grew up in Nottingham and attended St. Theresa’s Catholic School. As a child, she played netball, rounders, and also played the clarinet. Her family attended church regularly on Sunday’s and often cooked and had family Sunday dinner after. Cooking and baking soon became one of Theresa’s biggest and best hobbies. Theresa was very beautiful at a young age and throughout her life. During high school she took part in beauty contests, where she did extremely well. However, Theresa later found cooking more rewarding. She enjoyed baking special birthday cakes for her children, and cooked dinner regularly.
Once she graduated from her high school, Trinity Catholic School, she began working as a laboratory technician. Theresa married at a young age and was blessed with two beautiful daughters born in 1983 and 1985. Both of Theresa’s daughters attended the same school as she, St. Theresa’s. As they started school she took a part time job working in the kitchen feeding all of the children at the school. As cooking was gratifying to her, she loved this job and being close to her girls. However, it wasn’t until December of 1994 when Theresa met the love of her life Chris Bayley. They were married 7 months later in England and moved to the USA, where Chris had been living since his early twenties. After they settled down in Ormond Beach, Theresa worked for Med Shuttle, and later worked for Florida Health Care Plans for 15 years as a Medical Customer Service Specialist.
During her life, her greatest joy was being a mother and a grandmother. She spent many evenings and weekends following her girls to practices and games. In more recent years she spent her time chasing after her grandchildren. Theresa enjoyed a healthy lifestyle and spent a good amount of time in the gym, as well as another major accomplishment, finishing a few 5k races. Theresa also enjoyed traveling, especially to see her mother and stepfather in France annually. Most of all Theresa loved spending time with her family and cooking for anyone who wanted to come to dinner. Theresa will be remembered for her caring and kind loving heart, who always had the biggest smile on her face. You would often find her watching tennis, with a cup of tea in hand saying “hello love.”
Theresa leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly 26 years, Chris Bayley; loving mother and stepfather Irene Cronin Walters and David Walters; beloved daughters Kerry Carlisle and Claira Bell; son-in-laws Jason Bell and Miles White; precious grandchildren, Jacob, Summer, Brianna, and Olivia Grace. She is also survived by her Aunts June Hudson, Susan Letherland, Margaret Maddock, and Yvonne Daws; Uncles, Tony Letherland and Dave Maddock; cousins Cheryl, Brian, Colin, Julie Dawn, Christopher, Paula, Linda, Yvonne and Maria.
