OBITUARY

William Davis

William A. Davis (Bill) passed away November 20, 2012. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 30, 1935 to Carl J. Davis and Martha Davis. Survivors include his wife of almost 45 years, Barbara J. Davis; son, William A. Davis, Jr. (Shirley); step-daughter, Melissa Lowry (Ralph); sister, Betty Murray and brother, Robert Davis, all of Ohio. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Carl J. Jr., Richard and Rodney; sister, Patricia and step-son Randy McCarty (Ruth). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. Bill served in the army from 1955-1962. He received an associate degree from The Ohio State University. A private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bill’s name may be made to the Halifax Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.volusiamemorialfunerals.com. Arrangements are under the care of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL.

I am so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed getting to know Bill. He was truely a nice man and I always looked forward to seeing him. It was great to see you both at the wedding and will keep you in my prayers.

Mrs. Davis,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bill and you were wonderful people. I hated to see you move as I looked foward to seeing you come up for your mail and wittnessing all the hard work that you both put into Holiday Village. May you find peace in knowing that he was loved. He will truely be missed by all.
