

He was born on November 27, 1938 in Meriden, Ct to the late William and Margaret(Anderson) Shaw. Bill was a graduate of Norton High School, Norton, Ma and earned an Associates degree in Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA He served as an MP in the United States Army.
Bill was a machinist and owner of a family business, Commercial Gear & Sprocket Co., Walpole, MA for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Union Congregational Church, E. Walpole, MA and First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach. Bill was also a member of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) , a volunteer at Florida Memorial Hospital for several years, and a mentor for the Great Kids Program for at risk children. Bill was an avid square and round dancer for many years with the Dixie Square Dance Club in Daytona, Granada Square Dance Club and The Flagler Ocean Waves. He enjoyed traveling throughout the US and had many European vacations as well as cruising the islands. Bill enjoyed playing golf and the many activities in his community at Bear Creek. Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years, Allison(Zakur) and his two daughters, Lynda Shaw-Krauth(Rob) of Attleboro, MA;,Pamela White(Craig) of Rochester, MA, and son William Shaw(Tricia) of N. Attleboro, MA; two stepsons Jeffrey Carlson, Ormond Beach, FL; and Todd Carlson(Janine) of Coventry, RI. He is also survived by two brothers, Dennis Shaw (Joanne) of Coventry, CT, and Thomas Shaw of Wrentham, MA, 9 grandchildren ,1 greatgrandchild , and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all the caring staff at Clarebridge and Vitas Hospice for the excellent and special care that Bill received during his illness. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday April 10, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 336 S.
