Andrew had come up in my thoughts over the years and I had tried finding him online. Just now he again came to mind and I found this very sad news.

I have just seen the paper and am shocked and saddened to see that Andrew has been ill and has passed away.  I am so sorry and I can’t even imagine how you must feel.   I remember Andrew in the shoe store and he was so sweet. I’m glad he had lots of friends, and a dog can be a wonderful pal. 
Shirley I hope I will see you at the art show  in the future when things improve.

I’ll always remember Andrew as a gentle soul in a world with far too few. He will be missed amongst his supportive community who are a little less without him but better for having know him.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. Andrew and I shared a common struggle, and we regularly walked side by side and shared our experience of that struggle with one another. In doing so, Andrew became a powerful example for me of kindness, resilience, and of service to others. His courage in doing so just grew and grew while I knew him. He taught me that showing up relentlessly, openheartedly and willing to love and serve others is always worth the pain it may bring. It is meaningful and important work. Thanks for showing me the way and rest well my friend, you've earned it.

I met Andrew a few years ago, and for a time we were both quite involved in the same community. He was so generous with his time and his thoughts - and his delicious lemony baked goods! It has been a while since we last spoke and I hadn't realized how poor his health had become. I was so sorry to hear of his passing, and I hope his family and closest connections are feeling well supported. He made some very difficult and important changes in his life and was a strong support for others, through both his words and his actions, and he won't be forgotten.

We remember Andrew well from Salmon Trout Lake. My brother Trevor, sister Cheryl and myself , have many fond memories of running the cottage roads and lake, with Andrew and Jennifer.  We are saddened to hear of Andrew's passing.

Having met Andrew about five years ago, I knew him during a time in his life when he endlessly strove to discover and engage in activities and connections that would enrich his life in a positive manner.  In turn, Andrew would then take the time and make the effort to share his discoveries with others.  I was so glad Andrew's family used the picture of Andrew with Clara.  It captured, so beautifully, his love for both Clara and the natural environment in which they spent so much time exploring and appreciating, together.  

I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew at the Durham YMCA in Oshawa. Andrew attended my yoga classes over the years. ALWAYS had a smile and was absolutely a delightful man. He would bring his home baked goodies into the classes and share with participants  !! Sincere condolences to Andrew's family and friends. Soar high dear friend. You will be missed greatly by many. I'm the person who found Clara's lost collar in the early part of this year which is how I became acquainted with Andrew although we never met in person.  I picked a really good time to have a fractured ankle on top of M.S. 
I introduced him to my dog sitter Sue,  who managed to help out walking Clara.  I'm so sorry that we never met and I feel really badly that I didn't realize he was so sick.
So glad that the family  will take care of Clara and my condolences to both his family and his many friends.

To Andrews family

I was so sorry to hear about Andrews unexpected passing, I only knew Andrew for a very short time. A friend of mine contacted me saying he was in immediate need of someone to walk Clara, as his official dog walker was on vacation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew and walking Clara  in the middle of August this year. He was telling me he was moving home at the end of the month, and that would help him tremendously.She  is a lovely  dog and we enjoyed our walks together with my two girls poppy andRuby.

I send my sincere condolences to his family,  and pray that god gives you the strength to get through this very sad time

We were saddened by the news of Andrew’s passing. We first met him about three years ago. We knew instantly that he was a good person. We enjoyed his company and we will miss him. His memory will be with us.

We are so saddened to hear of Andrew's passing. He was such a gentleman. We  had often walked together through the park while our dogs ran together, and we talked about yoga, meditation, and what more he could do for Clara because he loved her so much he wanted nothing but the best for her. 

Andrew was a terrific baker and often dropped  goodies off at our place which we devoured!

Your time with us was too short, but the time we had was wonderful. Rest in peace my friend.

I was fortunate to meet Andrew about two and a half years ago. I liked him right away and was awestruck by his warmth, kindness and generosity. I also liked Clara very much. Andrew will always be remembered for his service in community. His kindness and generosity of heart he shared selflessly. 
 He was eager to laugh made others feel included. He learned meditation and encouraged people to try it and it helped.

Many peoples lives  start with inspirational morning messages that began even the toughest of days with a touch of joy and smile.  

My condolences to his family and friends. 
Much thanks to Shirley for her open heartedness. "My Mom is great!" are words I often heard from him. Thanks for sharing your Son with the world. He made a big difference. Andrew had compassion for others and encouraged people to have hope. That  was his gift that goes on.
