Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at the age of 88, surrounded by her family and priest. Beloved wife of the late Gerry Gerrits and Louis Van Veghel. Dear mother of Bill Van Veghel (Linda), Mary Van der Vleuten (Ken Cain), Lis Woods (Bill), Marty Van Veghel (Teresa), Anne Guscott (Ron), Louise Brown (Duane), Cathy Landry (Frank Guadagnol). Loving Oma of Bill (Jen), Carrie (Ivan), Scott, Lee (Tania), Jay (deceased), Adam, Alana (Kyle), Anthony, Jeff, Jessica, Katie and Daniel. Great Oma of Jayla, Tristan and Saoirse. Stepmother and Oma of the Gerrits family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, June 8th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. GERTRUDE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (690 King St. E., Oshawa) on Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
