Dear Hughes family,
It was great sadness that we learned of the passing of Anne. I have many fond memories of time spent with the family. Anne was a great long time friend of my parents who will miss her dearly. We always looked forward to her visits to St. Catharines. She was a very proud mother/grandmother/great grandmother and always arrived with her latest family photos :) She often brought her homemade shortbread cookies because she knew I loved them. Anne always had a smile on her face and such a positive outlook on life; truly an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of meeting her. We will truly miss her visits to St. Catharines. We are so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was a truly delightful person.
Anne, along with our sister Nancy Eden, visited our home on many occasions.
She was an accomplished conversationalist with many interesting stories and 
a very humorous and positive outlook on life. We will miss her and the touch
of the old country in her voice. She touched our lives and will live on in the words
she said and the happiness we feel every time we remember them.

I too have very fond memories of visiting your mom and dad. 

To be around Annie was to be around someone who enjoyed life to the fullest, and loved all those around her.

I will never forget the twinkle in Annie's eyes, her laughter, and joy of life. She is an inspiration to all of us.

I remember visiting your home on Fairfax Ave and eating salmon sandwiches as children.We were always excited when Annie came to call as she would bring bakery sweets! I always enjoyed hearing Annie's scottish accent and seeing her lovely smile.
