Anthony Marmara

August 7, 1933 – January 11, 2021

MARMARA, Anthony – passed away at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa on Monday January 11th, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Lily. Anthony will be greatly missed by his daughter Rita and her husband Vince Mifsud, grand-daughter Lisa Marie Bonello, great-grandchildren Tyler and Sara, grandson Andrew Mifsud and his wife Michelle, grand-daughter Sabrina; his daughter Doris Miller, grand-daughter Krista Miller and her husband Matt Tremblay, grand-daughter Tarra Trudel and her wife Cat, great-grandson Teo; his son Sam Marmara, grandchildren Paul Marmara and Vicki Marmara; his son Tony Marmara and his wife Janet Turner. Dear brother of John and his wife Annie, Zeren and his wife Maggie, Carmen and Sonny. Predeceased by sister Doris and Kitty. Resting at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. W. Oshawa (905-721-1234). Hi Rita, Doris, Sam and Tony---It was my pleasure to get to know your family. Tony and I had many lively conversations. It was hard keeping one step ahead of him sometimes. We took many walks around the neighbourhood and he always pointed out the squirrel nests and pigeons. He had a keen sense of humour. He loved the fishing shows Saturday mornings. He was able to tell me about his life in Malta as a child and his decision to come to Canada. I was happy to listen to him. I will have good memories of him. Take care. Florence from Home Instead

Uncle Ninu and my mom were best friends who always lit up when they saw each other. It was always a good day when uncle Ninu came to visit. Now they are reunited once more and we will always remember them.
