Arie van Wijngaarden

It is with profound sorrow that we announce, God has taken my husband, our father, father-in-law, grandfather and brother. Arie was born in Giessendam, Netherlands on April 8th, 1933 and he died in Courtice, Ontario on November 9th, 2016. Arie van Wijngaarden, beloved husband of Teuna Cornelia Nederveen for 59 years. Loving father of William Arie & Theresa van Wijngaarden and their children Arie, Alice, Emma, Ellen, Marinus; Mary van Wijngaarden (deceased); Mary Hendrika & Roger Stephens and their children Juliana, Noah; Janny Teuna (deceased) & Scott Hyland and their children Corrie and Sarah. Survived by three brothers and predeceased by one sister. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, November 11th from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. At the family’s request flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
