Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 after a courageous and valiant 2 year battle with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of John Vlad for 15 years. Wonderful and devoted Mom of Johnny and Katie. Cherished daughter of Bert and Barb. Babs will be dearly missed by her sisters Sue, Peggy and Sandy. Beloved daughter-in-law of Jack and Joan. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relative and friends. Babs truly had the special gift of enriching other peoples’ lives and always put others first. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, May 24th from 7 – 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
