My condolences to you and your family may God strengthen you all 🙏

I am going to miss your wit and grace, Uncle Barb. Dad will be so happy to reunite with you again.

Mary Jane we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Sincere condolences are extended to Barbara's family and friends on her passing at 105 years old!
I met Barbara several years ago while playing bridge at OSCC. We played at the same table and I looked forward to our Tuesday games. She was a lovely lady in every way and loved by everyone in the Bridge group.

Mrs. Howson What an amazing lady. I remember meeting her at the Oshawa Centre where she worked after retiring from teaching. She loved her second career. She was always interested in the lives of young people. So sorry Dick, Mary Jane and Sally for your loss of a wonderful mother
Judy Panylo (Aasen)

105 great years for a remarkable lady. Cottage neighbour, best friends, bump competitors. Bridge partners and just one of the remarkable people in the world that my family and I were lucky to share Kosh Lake's Long Island with. . . From our family condolenses go to the family who had the privilege of a role.model for the ages. We think about the Howson family often as we continue to be neighbour's to the cottage they built more than 60 years ago and started building memories. Those were special times.

I have often thought of Barb over the years and wondered if she was still with us. I remember going to a Mass at St. Gregory's to celebrate her 100th birthday! She was sitting proudly in the front pew greeting those who came.
In the 1970's she did some supply teaching and filled in for me at St. Gertrude's with my grade 7 class. They were great kids for me and having a "supply" never usually happened that year.... When Barb came in they tried to give her an active day which wasn't appreciated. She would have been in her mid 40's then!
Our paths didn't cross often but when they did, it made the day more special. I often pass your home on Simcoe St. N. and still refer to it as the Howson's!
May she rest in peace. Barb was a gift to all who knew her.

Your mother was wonderful to the adult day program at John Street. She brought a lot of laughter to our clients.

Your mother was also a supply teacher at St Christopher in Oshawa for many years we always laughed when she was there.

My condolences for your loss she was truly a kind spirit.
