Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, March 10th, 2016 in her 85th year. 28 year survivor of multiple cancers. Predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander of 56 years. Loving mother of Richard, Don (Sandy), Debbie Miller (Gary), Kenneth (Deb) and Joanne. Devoted grandmother of 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Chuck Green. Barbara was a volunteer extraordinaire and was one of the most strongest, loving and wonderfully stubborn person you could ever meet. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Many thanks to all who were involved in her care over the years. Cremation to take place. Memorial visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, March 15th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care or SickKids Foundation would be appreciated.
