Promoted to Glory on Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 at Thorntonview Longterm Care, at 87 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Butler. Loving mother of the late Anne West (Ed) of Bowmanville, the late Jackie Butler of Oshawa, Carol Hollows (Michael) of Brighton, Lynne Braund (Rob) of Peterborough, Bonnie Johnson (Paul) of Nassau, Bahamas and Heather Butler of Oshawa. She will be fondly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her sister-in-law Anorma Butler. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, July 25th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at THE SALVATION ARMY (570 Thornton Rd. N., Oshawa) on Thursday, July 26th at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or The Salvation Army Young People’s Band would be appreciated.
