Brian, Susan and family,

It was with sadness that we heard of Betty’s passing. She was always bubbly whenever we spoke and remained a very close friend and confident with Una. We remember the Poplar Street afternoon tea with fondness and Betty’s lovely laugh and sense of humor. She will be forever in our hearts.

So very sad to hear of the passing of Betty, my lovely Godmother. I wish we could be with you all to celebrate her life but we will be there in thought. She started school with my mother at aged four and they remained firm friends all their lives with regular long telephone calls across the pond. I like to think they will now be having a good catch up! Love to all the family.

Dear Brian and Susan and families, Ken and I were so saddened to hear about the death of your Mum. Ken and I had taken Betty over to Fairview Lodge a few weeks before Christmas to visit my Mum. Betty wanted to visit her life long friend once more, almost sensing that that visit would most certainly be the last. Betty died 6 days after Pat. They shared a friendship that lasted more than 70+ years. I have no doubt that they will continue this bond. Regardless of age, losing a mother leaves a heartache. Betty had spirit and determination and was not deterred by her physical limitations. I admired her very much. Our condolences. Love, Catherine and Ken Ogilvie
