My condolences to Brian and Sandra, Robert and Jane and Lionel and your families.
Betty lived her life well. She had such a positive, warm and strong spirit. I've always admired how she faced life head-on. She knew how to laugh at life and it truly didn't take much to make her laugh at the little things in life. She definitely was a gifted story-teller and as a kid, I loved to sit and listen to her. The times our family spent at the Massey's cottage with Lloyd, Betty and Brian are memories I will always treasure. She was a remarkable woman who left her mark in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to Bettys family and to Lionel and his family as well. As Lionel's sister I came to know Betty well and was so happy that she and Lionel were able to find great companionship together at this time in their lives. I loved Betty's strength and her indomitable spirit but most of all for her humor. I used to look forward to her e-mails full of jokes and fun and I would share them with my friends. We called them the "Betty" bombs and they made a gray day sunny.
Betty loved her sons and grandchildren and relished in their accomplishments. She definitely enjoyed her bragging rights as any Mom and Grandma would do. She loved her cottage and she and Lionel had so many good times there and through all their other trips. It was wonderful to see them having fun together, with friends and in quiet moments. Betty is one of those people who will always be remembered and her spirit will remain and be felt. Good for you Betty, you did good.

Such a sad loss. A lovely lady and one who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was not only my cousin but my 'big sister'. Brought up together from day one we were so close. You will be so sadly missed Betty. Rest in peace now my love. We will never forget you.

She was my "Auntie Mom" and I was her "Daughter Niece". We spent many hours together messing with her computer so she could keep up with emails and write letters.I was looking forward to bringing back some more giant tea bags from Texas so she could enjoy a good cup of strong tea when she went to Swiss Chalet. She was a very special Lady and we are all going to miss her very much. Sincere sympathy to Robert, Jane, Brian, Sandra, Cameron, Rachelle and her partner in crime Lionel. (She would have loved that expression)
