Cynthia Marjorie Rider

After a valiant battle, Cindy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, May 14th, 2015 at the young age of 67. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Marjorie Tovey. Survived by her loving stepmother Roselyn Tovey. Loving and cherished mother of Christine Relf (late Kenneth), Arron Carley (Serena), Sara Rider (Ron Stephenson) and Ritchie Rider. Cherished Gramma of Cody, Cassandra, Brooklyn, Domenic, Nathan, Emerson and Eliyah. Great grandmother of Cora. Cindy was an adored sister of Charles Tovey, Leslie Westbrook (David),Victoria Russell, Randy Halford and late Roger Halford. Cindy will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended relatives. Those who knew Cindy will remember her for her unique and loving personality. There were no strangers known to Cindy, they were just friends that she had yet to meet. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, May 22nd from 6 – 8 p.m. A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
