David was someone I met just in the last year. He was however someone I knew by reputation before I had met him and knowing him was a privledge. He was passionate, caring and dedicated to his causes and the love he had for the city and his family.
I am honoured that I could call him a friend, and sorry I didn't get to know him sooner.
Oshawa lost a great champion..he will be missed.

I am so sorry I missed saying goodbye to a man I have only known briefly but learned more than I would in a lifetime.
Always a friendly greeting, usually at the library when I would slip up behind and say he was breaking rules, he would look up and the laugh was so infectious.
I am going to miss David as he was genuine and kind...
My deepest sympathy for the family,
Don & Carol Gaudet
