It was with great sadness that I had heard Dave had passed away. We had many good times at the CBC when we worked together. I will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.

When I heard about Dave's death, it brought back many memories of someone who willingly imparted his knowledge, displayed patience with a 'newbee' and generally helped to make the evening shifts doing The National kinda fun. (alongside some stress) May Dave rest in peace with his bike, his ham radio and his trains. And condolences to his wife.

I had the wonderful experience of working with Dave at CBC for most of the eighties, one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. Both being hams, we always had something to talk about, and he helped this (then) young guy get his feet planted in the industry.
I was thrilled to catch up with him last spring at the flea market after many years, other than sharing a couple of decades of news, it was like we'd talked just the week before. I am now quite sad that we won't follow up on that, but am very happy that we had the chance.
There are people you meet who you never forget because they left a positive mark of some kind or another. Dave was one of those. Thanks for everything, 73 buddy, ride safe.

My sincere and deep condolences to Marian and family. Dave was one very memorable mentor for me at CBC when we met 35 years ago and it was always a privilege and an honour to work alongside him and for him on The National. A real understated professional. Having only paid an unexpected visit a few months ago during a North Shore meeting, it was so nice to regain face to face contact. He will be missed, but fondly remembered.

Marian, I know no words can express the feeling of a loss like this. Dave and I spent many years at the CBC - he helped us build out first house on Cochrane Street - we made many trips from Whitby to Jarvis Street - had a lot of fun and had many good memories. We will all miss Dave. Rest in Peace my friend.
