David Mitchell Skaife

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David on Thursday, March 17th, 2011, in his 53rd year. Loyal, devoted and loving husband to Elizabeth and most loving father to Nigel.

David is lovingly remembered by his mother Janet Skaife and his grandmother Myrtle Rusnell. Adored brother to Paul Skaife (Monica and children Jeremy and Caleb), to Joanne Deleo (Carlo and children Christina and Lucas), and to John Skaife (Mary). Adored son-in-law to Max and Trudi Pietzsch and brother-in-law to Martin Pietzsch (Cheryll and children Paul, Justin and Cory).

He will be greatly missed by all his extended family and many friends, and colleagues. The Family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors in Critical Care Station 2 at Lakeridge Health Centre (OGH) for all their hard work and dedication to David in his greatest time of need. Friends may visit at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, March 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of celebration of David’s life at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Red Cross or World Vision (Mississauga).
