Domenic Gattellaro

Domenic was a devoted husband to Carmela (nee Silvestri), with whom he shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Tony, Lisa (Pino), and Clara (Mario), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Leanna (Mario), Nicholas, Elaina (Anthony), and Calvin.

Domenic was predeceased by his parents, Antonio Gattellaro and Elisabetta Scriva, and his brother, Giuseppe Gattellaro. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Antonia (Sebastiano), Sebastiano (Pina), Francesco (Teresa - predeceased), and Maria.

He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Domenic lived life with a true appreciation for the people around him. He cherished his friendships and enjoyed spending time with those he cared about. His love for travel took him to many places, where he created memories that lasted a lifetime. Music was another passion of his, bringing him joy whether he was listening or sharing it with others. Domenic also enjoyed cooking, often preparing meals that brought people together. In addition, he was an enthusiastic player of both bocce and briscola, enjoying the simple pleasures of friendly competition.

A visitation for Domenic will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, ON L1J2L4. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the People Parish, 570 Marion Ave, Oshawa, ON L1J Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Rd E, Whitby, ON L1R 3L4 following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family are kindly asking for donation's to the Thalassemia Foundation of Canada.
