Donald Frederick Johnstone

Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at the young age of 76. Predeceased by his loving wife Joan (2003). Amazing human being who was also a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend of many. His conversations about his love for the Red Wings, bad drivers, visits down East, his quick wit, his charm and his opinionated nature will be truly missed. When someone upset him by showing support for any team other than the Wings or by disagreeing with him about conversations at hand – just when he’d get in his two cents and curse you – with his sly smile and a twinkle in his eyes – you knew he was just joking. Memorial visitation will take place at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, August 25th from 4:00 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted for SickKids Foundation.
