Don's memorial allowed us not only to honour his memory but thanks to his sister Pat's touching eulogy we gained a better understanding of this special man. Kristy & David's united physical and emotional support surrounded and comforted their Mum...and it is Don's love for his "Sweetie" that will sustain her....Rest in peace Don, we will cherish memories of our times together.

Dr. Alan & Mrs. Clara Toomey,

Just as Don was in the Air Force, so was I as a Hercules pilot many years ago as was my Dad as an RCAF adjudant at Supreme Headquarters, Allied Powers Europe with NATO for 3 years during my teenage years. I remember so well early one morning at haul-out at the WYC completely engulfed with fog in 1998 with him playing dominos with my 87 yr. old father-in-law who couldn't even speak English but beat the pants off Don....suffice it to say we had many, many laughs and I remember his 1st $5,000.00 digital camera that I gasped over, knowing I could never afford such an upgrade..!

We have many very fond thoughts of Don and we are personally very saddened about his passing. Don was a FINE, KIND, PERSONABLE, WARM & CARING man and it was our esteemed priviledge to have known him.
