Doreen Brock

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, February 21, 2014 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband the late Eric Brock. Loving mother of Louise Urie (late Elroy), Ted, Karen Mackay (Eldon), Susan, Dunc, and the late Jenny Hutchinson. Survived by son-in-law Bill Hutchinson, and special friends Butch McMahon and Dayle Mathews. Very special grandmother of Angie, Chris (Sherrie), Luke (Cindy), Jessica (Cole), and the late Mathew; Keith (Tammy), Brent (Marcia), Billy (Leah), Melissa (Jamie), Brad and the late Bryan, Darren (Tammy), Brock and Laura. Great-grandmother of Connor, Adam, Kennedy, Gates, Abigale, Colton, Mathew, Dunae, Alisha, Chloe, Kadri, Jaclyn, Brianne, Alexandra, Adyson, Darby and Kyle. Dear sister of Ella Walters, Ernie (late Billie), Loreen Gravelle (late Frank), predeceased by brothers Bill and Duke and sisters Leona Wright, Mary Woodward (late Bill). Survived by brother-in-law Nellie Wright. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Doreen was an avid horse racing fan and lived life to the fullest. Memorial visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, February 28th, 2014 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 1st from 12:00 noon until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society or charity of your choice.
