Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Orchard Villa Retirement Residence on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Tom Houghton. Loving mother of John and his wife Sara, Ruth Wolff and her husband Gary. Cherished grandmother of Geoff (Karen), Heather (Trevor), Jessica (Jeff) and Robert (Brenda). Dear great grandmother of Alistair and Thomas. Predeceased by her brother Ted Callard. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ruth Grindlay, her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was Past Queen of The Daughters of the Nile, Oronto Temple #69. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 16th from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 17th at ALL SAINTS’ ANGLICAN CHURCH (300 Dundas Street West, Whitby) from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to All Saints’ Anglican Church or The Supreme Temple Daughters of the Nile Canadian Foundation Convalescent Endowment Fund.
