McLELLAND, Dr. Edwin M.D. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Edwin McLelland. After a lengthy illness, Ed passed away on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at the age of 65. Ed is survived by his beloved wife Alyson and daughter Lesley. He will be deeply missed by his mother Mildred and brother Leonard (sister-in-law Amelia.) Uncle to Kyla Corrado (John) and their daughter Sofia, Keegan McLelland, Nicola Williams (Craig) and their son Leo. Brother-in-law to Joselyn Adams and Blair Adams. A long time resident of Durham Region, Dr. McLelland practiced medicine at the Glazier Medical Centre for 37 years. His passion for patient care and administration were what led him to the position of Medical Director from 2001 until his retirement in 2016. In addition to his dedication to his family, Eddie was known for his love of travel, golf, cycling and photography, and relished every opportunity to bring these together. Deepest gratitude to the outstanding care from Dr.’s Li, Zalewski and Graham, the compassionate staff of 4F and nurses Paulette, Kelly and Corinne. A visitation will take place at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, November 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of Ed's life at the Oshawa Funeral Home on Monday, November 6th at 11a.m. Donations in Ed's memory may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada.

We feel blessed to have shared his lifetime.

I am so very sorry that I'm posting so very long after Dr. McLelland's death but I was not aware of his passing. I was a long-time patient of Ed and we often had long talks about his family and of travel--of which he was so proud!!! When I asked at the clinic what happened to Ed as he seemed to retire so very quickly no one would give me an answer. I am a prostate cancer survivor---thank God---and now I know what happened to this remarkable man. He was extremely well liked by not only myself but by my son and my wife. My heart aches knowing that he is gone and not once did he ever convey any indications that he was going through any health problems.
God bless you Doc----I'm sure we will meet again!!!

I was saddened to hear of Dr. McLelland's passing. He was the family doctor for myself, my children and my parents for many years. He was wonderful to deal with and was missed upon his retirement. I offer my condolences to his family and loved ones at this most difficult time.

We will always miss you Ed. You lived life to the fullest and your path was filled with love, excitement, surprise and your tenacity was your journey. We will not forget. With memories and stories that you have left, they will fill all of us and knowing you are there with a smile and laughter. Aly and Lesley, you have memories and love to help you during this time but husband and father will always be there xo

Lots of days spent at the McLelland house growing up. Ed indulged Lesley and I by watching every single skit we spent the afternoon putting together, and always with a smile on his face. Much love
