Betty was a long time resident of Oshawa and currently had resided in Mississauga. Passed away peacefully at the Credit Valley Hospital on Friday, March 8th, 2013, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Don. Loving mother of Joan (Jim Walker) and Jack Smith (Kathryn). Cherished Granny of Jimmy (Pamela), Gregory (Kelly), Cydney, David. Great Granny to Ruby, and adopted Granny to the Walker clan in Ottawa. Dear sister of Johnny, Mary, Rosie and predeceased by Alois, Joe, George, Mike, Agnes and Anne. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, March 17th from 2 – 4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. GERTRUDE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (690 King St. E., Oshawa) on Monday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Durham Humane Society.
