Peacefully at Winbourne Park, Ajax on Sunday, December 1st, 2013, at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Shirley MacDonald. Loving father of Thomas and his wife Terry, and Rob and his wife Susan. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Quinn, Taylor, Keenan and Sydney and his extended family in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Ernest was a proud member of AA for 35 years. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, December 6th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 7th from 1:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Ernie may be made to the Parkinson Society (Durham Chapter).
