March 13, 1948 - October 20, 2022
It is with deep sadness that the family of Eustace Augustus (Gus) Davis, age 74, of Oshawa, Ontario, announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital.
Born in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Eustace loved his homeland, its people and its beauty. His fondness for nature carried over to his love for Canada - spending time at the lake fishing and walking amongst the trees. He had a great sense of humour, loved sports (especially cricket/soccer), loved music, and had great faith.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Gordon, Jasmine, Reynold, Marisa, John, Petra and Roxanne; siblings; Kenrick, Rhonda, Winston, Brian, John, Desiree, Ashley (deceased), and Marilyn (deceased); his former wife Joan; his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and England. He will be missed by countless friends near and far, including his Vincentian massive and his friends on Malaga Road.
Thank you to the amazing staff at Home Instead, in Oshawa, and Community Care Durham, for your support over the last three years and your good stewardship of our father, even to his last. A special thank you to Lisa McCann for the loving care of our father. Your kindness will not be forgotten; you are an angel walking among us. A Celebration of Life service for Eustace will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 10:30 AM at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario. The family invites everyone for a time of refreshments and fellowship following the service.
