To Garth and Bonnie, My deepet sympathies to you and your family.  I know you were a very good son to your Mom Garth, I remember you speaking of her when I was working at the Foodbank. You have wonderful memories of a life well lived....thinking of you

To the Edwards family:  My deepest condolences to your family.  I enjoyed sharing music with your mother at Fosterbrooke.  She loved to sing and dance in her chair to all the old standards.  She was a joy in the group, always with a smile for others in the room.  I will miss her joy and spirit.

Throughout her life, Mom always promised to guide us and be there for us. She has kept that promise and will rest in peace. Mom, we will always love you and you will be in our hearts forever.

On the Wednesday evening before Mom's passing I visited her at Fosterbrooke Long Term Care; we had a great visit and one that I will not forget.  I took her for a walk in her wheelchair and we came back to sit in the garden area outside the home.  We sat and talked, laughed and sang.  At one point I had Mom hold my cell phone up while I got in position behind her to take pictures of us together.  It took several attempts but we got the picture.  I also recorded 6 minutes of our conversation that night.  Together we sang Happy Birthday to Bonnie, we sang a couple of verses of Al Jolson songs, and then she mentioned how she played in a little orchestra.  I spoke of Dad and where they met.  I told her that she had 5 children and that I was her youngest; her baby boy.  She looked at me and called me a little devil for teasing her like that.

I did not know at the time why I took the pictures, or why I recorded part of our conversation, but I do realize now; it was our final moments together.

Dad's last request before his passing was, “Take care of Mum.”  We promised Dad that we would.  Rosalind was always there for Mom 24X7 and we 4 boys followed by keeping our promise to Dad. 

It is difficult letting you go as it was with Dad, but I know that you are once again with Dad, your mother who you adored to your last day on earth, your father and sister.

Thank you for always being there for me, Bonnie and our boys.

I will miss you Mom.  Say hello to Dad and give him a BIG hug for me.  You will never be forgotten.

Dear Rosalind and family,
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you at this very difficult time.Cec and I will always remember your mom tearing down the street in her huge white car,always stopping to say"hello".She was a petite lady with a big heart.She certainly proved that good things come in small packages.
She is finally at peace and with your beloved dad once again.
