She was a special sister, always expressing love and concern for our families and us. We, her sisters, Eleanore Rogalsky and Helma Schmidt, are thankful for the many years that we were able to meet with her by phone every Wednesday.
She was very active in Oshawa as a social worker for Durham Children’s Aid Society, leading many new initiatives to enhance the lives of others, such as Christmas dinner for Lonely Seniors, a Community Concert series, a monthly meeting for the Widowed, and the Marigold Organic and Natural Food Co-op, established in 1986, which she led until the age of 97.
Frieda's loved ones kindly request donations in her honour to Durham Children’s Aid Society
