As a fellow member of All Saints’ Anglican Church, Whitby, I remember Geoff’s kindness, concern and support for me. He and I shared mobility limitations in recent years so we had a special connection which I will greatly miss.
With our sincerest sympathy,

It was with much sorrow that I learned of Geoff's passing. I was privileged for our (30+ year) association during the TSH era and in receiving valued advice from Geoff. He was a major force in contributing to the company's success, providing and sharing professional engineering services to many clients. Respected by all for his integrity and genuine friendship. My thoughts are with Pat and her family during this difficult time. Blessings. Don Bourne

So sorry to hear of Geoff's passing. He hired me way back in 1974 and I was grateful for the opportunity he gave me. I expressed that to him when I saw him last about two or three years ago. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to you and your family, Pat. I had the pleasure of serving with Geoff on the executive of the Durham Northumberland Section of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering. Geoff lent his experience to us younger members and encouraged us to get things done. His encouragement to take risks and try new approaches was important to our successes. His sense of humour gave us something to chuckle about at many meetings. I am glad to have known him and grateful for his service to our profession.

Sincere condolences and sympathy to Pat, family, and friends on Geoff’s passing. After interviewing me just out of university, Geoff became my first ‘boss’ as well. In the office, Geoff was usually all business but whilst travelling, I saw another side as we talked about his interest in cars, aviation, and music; the Rolling Stones being, as he put it, “his group”. As expressed by others, “his legacy lives on” in those that worked for and with him. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Pat and family. Geoff interviewed and hired me at TSH and was my boss for many years before he retired. I came to learn that his bark was worse than his bite and just how did he always manage to find that one error that no one else could. I'm thankful for the many years of guidance and was glad to run into Geoff many times after his retirement.

My condolences and sympathy to Pat and family on the loss of Geoff.
My initial sadness upon learning of his passing has been replaced by the many memories of working with Geoff for over 20 years, initially as my first 'boss', then as a valued mentor and ultimately a trusted colleague and confidante. While Geoff will be greatly missed, his legacy lives on through the countless engineers, like myself, for whom he was a positive influence on their careers.
